- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice of Intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number NIAID-NOI-11001, a Notice of Intent. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-46. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a small business. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310, which has a size standard of $7.0 in millions of dollars. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intend to procure a one year preventive maintenance for an X-Ray Diffraction Generators and Detectors from Rigaku Americas Corporation. One Year parts only coverage that includes all standard and consumable parts. Normal repair service will be responded to within four (4) hours via phone. Shipments will be sent within 72 hours from the conclusion of the telephone response, subject to circumstances beyond Rigaku reasonable control. Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Saturdays, Sundays and Rigaku recognized holidays are excluded. Hardware covered: R-Axis IV ++ (S/NXD2840), R-Axis IV ++ (S/N UD2792), RU-H2R (S/N Q40592), AL-60X-Stream (S/N 800), AL-60-Stream (S/N 600), and Optic. The Award will be based on: 1) capability to performance the above stated salient characteristics, and 2) price. The FOB point shall be Destination. Place of performance Rockville, Maryland 20852. Period of performance shall be one year from date of award. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The FOB terms are "Destination" and Net 30. In order to be considered for an award, an offeror must have completed the online electronic Representations and Certifications located at http://orca.bpn.gov/ in accordance with FAR 4.1201 (a). By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR at www.ccr.gov prior to award during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation.
