- * THIS ANNOUNCEMENT REPLACES SYNOPSIS W911S2-10-B-3000* The Directorate of Contacting at Fort Drum, NY plans to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to industry for Packing and Crating Services based on the Defense Travel Regulations (DTR) part IV. SUBJECT SOLICITATION FOR PACKING AND CRATING SERVICES, WILL BE 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The applicable NAICS code is 488991-Packing and Crating, with a small business size standard of $25.5 million. The successful contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform all work in connection with the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) of Packing and Crating. The anticipated issue/posting date will be on or about November 01, 2010. The public bid opening date will be set at the time of actual IFB issuance/posting. Award will be made on the basis of lowest price in conjunction with a properly submitted bid package. Services will be procured using procedures in FAR part 14, Sealed Bids and interested contractors should make sure that knowledge of submitting bids is obtained. The resultant contract is anticipated to be a base period plus four option periods, Requirements type contract with firm fixed price task orders. Any correspondence concerning this acquisition shall reference IFB Number W911S2-11-B-3000. The IFB and any subsequent amendments will only be available electronically by accessing either Federal Business Opportunities at http://fedbizopps.gov/ or the Army Single Face to Industry at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ No hard copies will be provided. All sources wishing to quote are required to monitor these sites for any/all amendments to the IFB.
