Description
Special Notice Telemetry Description Standards Working Group Instrumentation Hardware Description Working Group. The Vehicular Instrumentation / Transducer Committee of the Range Commanders Council (RCC) Telemetry Group seeks industry participation in an Instrumentation Hardware Description Working Group, addressing the development of a standard for describing commonly used types of instrumentation hardware (signal conditioning, data acquisition units, etc.). This standard will allow instrumentation hardware information to be used to facilitate setup and configuration of the hardware and foster exchange between ranges and other test organizations. Members of this Working Group will be required to travel and attend a minimum of 2 meetings annually. Participation is limited to technical personnel who will be expected to provide inputs and comments to future portions of the RCC Telemetry Standards (RCC IRIG-106) and other standards documents. The Working Group duration is expected to be 2 years with the first organizational meeting to be held approximately the last week of October 2010 in San Diego, California, coincident with the International Telemetering Conference 2010. Future meetings will be held twice each year, hosted by RCC member ranges. These meetings are generally held in March and August. Any additional meetings and/or teleconferences will be established and scheduled by the Working Group. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI; nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any cost incurred (in developing the information provided or any cost incurred for participating in this Working Group). If you are interested in participating in this Working Group, please respond via email to both of the points of contact named below on or before October 15, 2010. For more information on the Range Commanders Council, go to https://wsmrc2vger.wsmr.army.mil/rcc/index.htm.
