Description
Helicopter Rescue Swimmer Wetsuit Ensemble Required Technical Features Market Survey - Sources Sought Synopsis Helicopter Rescue Swimmer Wetsuit Ensemble The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center, is issuing this sources sought synopsis as part of a market survey for improved Helicopter Rescue Swimmer Wetsuit Ensembles. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of commercially available products. The USCG will consider suggestions from potential suppliers. The required technical features are attached. Response to this notice shall consist of a short (3 pages or less) initial White Paper response describing a producible design. The White Paper shall include the following details: Type of material Seaming technique Seam reinforcement method Knees and seat reinforcement type Type and location of wetsuit entry Estimated production cost for each wetsuit Approximate lead-time for acquiring your product The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 315299 - ALL OTHER CUT AND SEW APPAREL MANUFACTURING. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Interested organizations who think they possess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information: point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, DUNS Number, CAGE Code and/or Tax ID Number, business size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.), a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, and related manufacturing experience. Provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogs, etc., and answers for the following questions: (1) Is your product listed on a GSA schedule? (2) Are other government agencies using your products, and if so which agencies, POCs and contract numbers? Responses must be received on or before 29 October 2010 at 3:00 PM, EST. This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a list of prospective offerors or to receive a copy of any future solicitation. Firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response does not constitute a request to be considered for a contract award. After review of the responses, if the Government proceeds with an acquisition, a solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps.gov. Interested parties must provide a separate response to any solicitation issued by the USCG for this requirement. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities. Your interest in this response is appreciated.
