- The Supply Directorate, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source procurement to Whitaker Controls, Inc, dba Meggitt Airdynamics, 2616 Research Dr, Corona, CA, 92882-6978 (Cage Code: 58163) under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). The requirement is for Fan Assemblies for the Large Aircraft Infra-red countermeasure system which is designed to thwart shoulder fired infrared guided surface to air missiles. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
