Description
The requirement is for two courses hosted by UNC-Chapel Hill in support the continued professional development and career progression of the Navy ™s acquisition workforce, in the following subject: Understanding the Government-Industry Relationship in Acquisition (Acquisition Seminar). A Department of Navy course delivered by UNC- Chapel Hill, is an intensive, five day seminar designed to provide senior acquisition executives (both uniformed and civilian) with the financial understanding and skills needed to professionally manage the business relationship with defense contractors and successfully mange acquisition programs. The Acquisition Seminar provides a collaborative, engaging environment for participants to examine a wide range of issues and learn new financial understanding and skills. Academic experts from the faculty at UNC -Chapel Hill are joined by senior executives from both Navy and the private sector to provide participants with a range of perspectives through which course objectives are addressed. The Acquisition Seminar brings participants together with Navy ™s senior leaders for opportunities to discuss financial metrics and issues that impact their acquisition programs. Private sector executives share their insights and experiences gained through government service and private sector experience.
