- Inventory of Scientific Equipment and Section C-Descripton/Specifications/Work Statement This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5 as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-46 dated 09/29/2010. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541990 and the small business size is $7.0. The Rocky Mountain Laboratory has a need to acquire one maintenance agreement covering all equipment listed on the attachment 'Inventory of Scientific Equipment, Exhibit 1' as prescribed in the attachment 'Section C-Description/Specifications/Work Statement. Both documents are attached to this announcement.FOB point shall be Destination, Hamilton, MT. Period of Performance will be from 10/1/2010 through 9/30/2010. Delivery location is Rocky Mountain Laboratories, 903 S 4th St, Hamilton, MT 59840. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: (B)(1) By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items, HHSAR352.224-70 Confidentiality of Information, FAR52.204-9 Personal Identity Verification of Contractor Personnel. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall have posted their FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items at website http://orca.bpn.gov. Award will be based on: 1) the capability of the item offered to meet the above stated salient characteristics; 2) warranty and 3) Best Value to the government.
