Description
DESC intends to competitively award requirements of 88,045,000 USG of Turbine Fuel, Aviation (JP8) (NSN 9130-01-545-8464), 1,825,000 USG of Diesel Fuel (NSN 9140-01-526-5493), and 365,000 USG of Unleaded, Automotive Gas (NSN 9130-01-526-4844) to be delivered on an FOB Destination to Bagram Air Base, Sharana, Shank, and Salerno, Afghanistan. DESC will also have requirements for a reserve of Turbine Fuel, Aviation (JP8) to be held in country by the offeror(s) awarded the delivery requirement for JP8. Fuel for these requirements must be sourced from Pakistani supply routes/sources. Resulting contracts will be requirements-type fixed price with economic price adjustment contract. This requirement is solicited in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Period of performance is 01 SEP 2011 – 31 AUG 2013. The solicitation will be issued on or about 31 AUG 2010. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The Government shall have the right to extend this contract on the same terms and conditions one or more times for a total of no more than six months. Notice of contract extension will be furnished to the Contractor not later than 30 days prior to expiration of the contract ordering period or any extension thereof. Nothing in this clause precludes the Contractor from agreeing to an extension of the contract if the DLA Energy Contracting Officer fails to issue the notice prior to 30 days before the end of the ordering period.
