- As required by FAR 5.203(a), this is a notification that USAID/Nigeria intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Chemonics International, Inc., 1717 H Street, NW, Washington DC. 20006-3900, up to one year contract (Bridge to MARKETS II) in the amount of $7.2M. This Notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to the incumbent Contractor, Chemonics International, Inc, who was competitively awarded the MARKETS Project Contract #620-C-00-05-00077-00. The period of performance of MARKETS Bridge Contract is anticipated to be up to one year. The Bridge Contract will provide the necessary over-lap between MARKETS I and MARKETS II, to be competitively awarded in FY11. The Bridge to MARKETS II will allow the current contractor, Chemonics International, the time to concentrate on the following three essential activities. The three activities are: •· January to March 2011: Three month activity to establish a base line of indicators to be used to monitor and evaluate MARKETS 2 as well as outcomes for MARKETS' 2010 growing season activities and prepare groundwork for 2011 planting season; •· March to September 2011: Over final six months of activity support farmers to continue to plant and harvest designated crops: concentrating in rice, ground nuts, sorghum, sesame and maize during the 2011 growing season; and •· June to September 2011: Over final three months of contract transition to the new MARKETS 2 contract.
