- NOTE: Please note that the Response Date of January 15, 2011 identified above is to ensure that any future postings regarding this solicitation number will be linked to this and any future announcements. Responses to this Sources sought are due within 15 days of its publication. An amendment to the sources sought for solicitation W52P1J-10-R-0040 is being issued by the U. S. Government (USG) to update its market research due to the amount of time that has passed since the original sources sought was posted. If you submitted information in response to the original sources sought, please reconfirm your interest and/or provide any revised information for the USG consideration. A firm fixed price, five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) is anticipated. The USG anticipates evaluating and selecting the awardee(s) of the anticipated contract for this requirement based on Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criteria. The potential sources should be capable of supplying the 105mm Case, Cartridge, M14, NSN: 1315-00-824-4503, P/N: 7548409. Respondents must demonstrate that they have the capability to deep draw the brass cases, perform the annealing operation, machine/taper, and inspect the cartridge cases per the applicable technical data package (TDP). Interested companies that have the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the following information: 1. Summary of Technical Capabilities; 2. Description of Facilities, Personnel, and Manufacturing Capabilities and Experiences and how they directly relate to the planned procurement; 3. Estimated Minimum and Maximum Monthly Production Capacities; and 4. Respondents shall state if they have made this item or similar items in the past. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria. A TDP is not available in support of this announcement; however, one will be made available should a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) be released at a later date. Responses to this survey shall be submitted electronically within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication to HQ, Army Contracting Command Rock Island Contracting Center, ATTN: Matthew Kopel, Contract Specialist, at matthew.kopel@us.army.mil. All information collected from this sources sought shall be used for information and planning purposes only. This does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay respondents for information submitted.
