Description
Requirements Review Q&A. Briefing provided at Requirements Review at Randolph AFB. Briefing provided at Requirements Review at Randolph AFB. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO ADVISE INDUSTRY OF A CHANGE TO THE SOLICITATION NUMBER OF THE T-6 COMBS EFFORT AND TO RELEASE THE BRIEFINGS AND QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM THE 18-19 AUGUST 2010 REQUIREMENTS REVIEW WITH INDUSTRY. Due to the roll of the Government's fiscal year from FY2010 to FY2011, the solicitation number is revised to FA8617-11-R-6208. The only change is to the two-digit "year" identifier (from "10" to "11"). The remainder of the solicitation number remains the same. In addition, the Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Air Force Materiel Command, JPATS Program Office is releasing the briefings and question and answer session data from the August 2010 Requirements Review and COMBS tour held at Randolph AFB. Originally anticipated to be released with the T-6 COMBS Draft RFP, due to delays in release, the Government feels it is prudent to share this information in advance to ensure the data is distributed to any and all interested parties. Should these questions and answers or briefings drive additional questions or comments from interested parties, please submit via electronic format to the solicitation points of contact listed below. Finally, the Government has learned there may be additional sources of PT6A-68 engine repair and overhaul. This is in contrast to statements made at Industry Day at Wright-Patterson AFB in April 2010. Additional information is contained in Question and Answer #69 of the attached Requirements Review Question and Answer. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION. JPATS is an Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) program. The current status is: Pre-Solicitation. Solicitation Number: FA8617-11-R-6208 Response Date: N/A
