Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of the Contracting Office to use information received from responses to this sources sought notice for market research purposes only. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via the Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fbo.gov). The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information. The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), is performing market research to determine the availability, interest and capability of potential small business sources in sufficient number, located within the National Capital Region (NCR), to provide Dry Cleaning, Laundry and Alteration/Repair services. All vendors wishing to do business with the Government should make sure they have a DUNS number (http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform) and are registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx). The contractor shall collect and deliver all uniforms/clothing covered by these specifications, from and to the Designated Location. The contractor shall pick up soiled uniforms/clothing and deliver clean uniforms/clothing three (3) days a week – each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 10:00am. The contractor must be able to provide a two-day turn around service. If scheduled pickups fall on a Federal holiday, the contractor shall pickup/deliver on the next scheduled delivery day. The contractor shall make all repairs to uniforms/clothing including all minor rips, tears, open seams and holes using thread and materials of the same quality and compatible color, as well as, replace all broken or missing buttons with buttons of matching color and similar appearance and quality. The Contractor shall provide alteration services. The tailor services include measuring trouser waist and length for adjustments. It is an absolute necessity and a requirement that altered uniforms/clothing are tailored in such a fashion that they present a professional appearance conveying the very best that is America. The Contractor shall have successful experience in providing Dry Cleaning, Laundry and Alteration/Repair services. The firm must have gained this experience as a result of being primarily engaged, in the business of providing Dry Cleaning, Laundry and Alteration/Repair services in military environments for a minimum of two consecutive years. Responses to this RFI shall not exceed five (5) pages, including cover letter and contact information. Interested and qualified sources should provide the following information: (1) Capability statement sufficient to demonstrate performance acumen directly related to the Performance Work Statement. (2) Company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, type of business and size (Small, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, SBA 8(a) etc). (3) Citation of any current or past customers (i.e., within the past two (2) years-it says three years above) to include contract number; point of contact telephone number or e-mail address; and (4) other material relevant to establishing core competencies of the firm.
