- Description
- The work consists of replacing the current stop log system of floodwall closure by constructing and installing steel swing gates at 16 floodwall opening locations and permanently closing 3 floodwall openings with concrete. Work consists of furnishing all labor and materials for construction of reinforced concrete abutments and sill beams, fabrication and installation of steel swing gates, steel latch posts, joint materials, waterstops, excavation at floodwall openings, concrete paving and graded-crushed aggregate surface paving, gravel placement, establishment of turf, environmental protection and all other incidental related work as indicated in construction documents. The work is located within Caruthersville, MO, Helena, AR, Hickman, KY and Mound City, IL. There are (68) sheets in the set of drawings. This project is advertised as an 8(a) Competitive construction requirement using sealed bid procedures and is also restricted to 8(a) firms located in the states of MO, AR, KY, TN, MS and IL which have the assigned NAICS code (237990) among those approved for 8(a) participation.. For the purpose of this procurement to qualify as a small business concern, in addition to being independently owned and operated and not dominate in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, the concern must have had average annual sales receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not exceeding $33.5 million. The supplies or services to be procured in this solicitation are classified under NAICS 237990.
