- ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ADVISED TO REFER TO THE ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS POSTED TO FedBizOpps ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2010, FOR A FULL DESCRIPTION OF THIS SOLICITATION. This addendum to the synopsis is being published to emphasize two important events that may be of particular interest to all dredging firms. SITE VISIT: For the Kings Bay Entrance Channel 'seed' project is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Refer to FAR clause 52.236-7 on page 00100-A2 in Volume 2 of the solicitation for details. PRE-PROPOSAL TELECONFERENCE: Tentatively scheduled for October 15, 2010. The purpose of the pre-proposal teleconference is to provide an opportunity for two-way communication between the government and the dredging industry. Actual date, time, and call-in number will be provided to all interested parties that register via e-mail with Ms. Dolly Colwell at dolly.m.colwell@usace.army.mil not later than Tuesday, October 12, 2010. The following information MUST be provided for registration: (1) company name; (2) name and job titles of individual personnel participating; and (3) telephone numbers and e-mail address of all participants. In addition, it is requested that all questions be submitted in writing by e-mail to Ms. Colwell a minimum of two days prior to the pre-proposal teleconference. Any questions not submitted in advance may not be answered during the teleconference as further research and/or coordination with technical team members may be necessary. THIS PROCUREMENT IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. COAST GUARD CERTIFICATION OF VESSELS IS REQUIRED. ALL RESPONSIBLE OFFERORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE. The solicitation will be issued on 29 September 2010 in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
