- The responses to this announcement will be used for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR) OR REQUEST FOR OFFER (RFO) OF ANY KIND. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the Strategic Plan for the National Airspace System (NAS) Voice System (NVS) program and to solicit feedback regarding the attached plan. Additionally, this announcement allows the FAA to solicit information it may consider when choosing how to conduct a potential procurement including the development of a requirements document and acquisition strategy. However; this does not commit the FAA to any future acquisition activity. This announcement is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise to contract by the FAA. Should you have any questions or comments regarding the plan or the NVS program, the FAA requests that you provide them, electronically, to Kathy St. Hill at Kathy.StHill@faa.gov. All files must be submitted in Microsoft Word format. All costs associated with the preparation or submission of responses is the responsibility of the potential source. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this RFI, therefore any cost associated with the response submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. Attachments may be downloaded from the following website: http://faaco.faa.gov, and include the NVS Strategic Plan.
