- This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources interested in providing Weapons Conversion and Protective Gears Simunition Brand name or EQUAL in support of the Security Forces Center at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. The requirement will most likely include the following: 50 EA M4-9MM Upper Receiver Conversion PN: 5305655 50 EA M4/M16 5.56 FX Bolt Conversion PN: 5308990 50 EA Beretta 9mm FX Conversion PN: 5308270 10 EA FX9000 Protective Glove - Medium PN: 8971881 10 EA FX9000 Protective Glove - Large PN: 8971882 10 EA FX9000 Protective Glove - Xlarge PN: 8971883 10 EA FX9000 Protective Glove - XXLarge PN: 8971884 50 EA FX9003 Mask - PN: 8971960 40 EA FX9000 Groin Protector - Male PN: 8971770 10 EA FX9000 Groin Protector - Female PN: 8971771 10 EA FX9000 Protective Vest- Female PN: 8978835 10 EA FX9000 Protective Forearm Sleeve PN: 8971517 10 EA FX9000 Protective Glove - Small PN: 8971880 (This contract is anticipated to be awarded by 04 October 2010. Multiple awards are not anticipated. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and size standard is 332995/500emp. Firms responding to this sources sought notice must: (1) state whether they are a small or large business based on the size standard above; if applicable, identify subcontractors to be used and their anticipated responsibilities; (2) indicate all of the following small business status categories that apply: Small Disadvantaged (SDB), Woman-owned Small Business (WOSB), 8(a) firm, HUB Zone firm, Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOB), Historically Black College and University or Minority Institution (HBCU/MI); (3) provide experience in the form of an outline of previous awards of similar items outlined above and have completed delivery or currently awarded of equivalent magnitude including contract numbers, description of work, points of contact, and phone numbers; (4) provide the technical specifications and characteristics of each EQUAL item ; and (5) any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess a firms capabilities. Because the government reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for small business, 8(a) firms, HUB Zone firms or Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business based on the responses it receives, it is imperative that firms respond with the required information for capabilities to be accurately evaluated. Capability statement inputs should be limited to ten (10) pages. The required response date for this announcement is no later than 01 October 2010, 2:00 P.M. (Eastern).
