- NOTICE OF INTENT - Brand Name Justification for Verastream Software Maintenance The Internal Revenue Service intends to issue an award for Verastream software maintenance. The purchase will be an 8(a) direct buy issued to TechTrend Inc. This agreement will be made under the Authority of FAR Part 11.105 and FAR Part 52.211-6 - Brand Name or Equal. The Internal Revenue Service Media and Publications organization has been using Attachmate Verastream since 2004 and requires software maintenance for their product. The program code used in this software is vendor-proprietary and maintenance must be provided by approved software vendors. The software maintenance support must provide major product version upgrades and intra-version releases, service packs and other applicable file downloads. The IRS requires real-time online service request management including open case review, lifetime case retrieval, and new case initiation and unlimited service case entitlement to research and/or open new requests. The agreement must provide authorization for technical support. The purchase order will be issued directly to TechTrend Inc. Solicitation Number is TIRNO-11-P-00011.
