- Rapid Response J&A The United States Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Contracting Center (RICC), awarded a 12-month Time-and-Materials type contract on a non-competitive basis to DRS Technical Services Inc. of Herndon, VA under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the procurement of command, control, communications, and computer (C4) capabilities and Information Technology. The required communications support includes all communication mediums and involve a wide number of established and developing protocols, and networking schemes including Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs), providing INTERNET, NIPRNET, SIPRNET, Secure and Non-Secure VTC, multimedia, and other interface networking systems. The contractor will provide support to requirements that include EoIP, VoIP, circuit-switched voice, circuit-switched data, and packet data; and encompass all phases of engineering support. The Contractor will provide a broad range of services and all necessary equipment to support various customers for more than 100 systems. These networks support over 1500 users worldwide in diverse locations including Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Germany, Japan and CONUS. The contractor will Engineer, Furnish, Install and Test (EFI&T) systems for the remote and the hub site locations. All positions require Secret level clearances, Top Secret, SCI, at time of award. DRS Technical Services Inc. is the only known source with the required personnel on site with specialized experience, security clearances, and operational familiarity needed to perform these required critical services, seven days a week and 24 hours a day, at time of award, without any interruption for this short-term effort.
