- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined Synopsis/solicitation Shall be posted on NECO http://www.neco.navy.mil The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 for this procurement action. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, or submit quotes or proposals and capability statements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. However, all quotes or proposals received before the closing date of this RFQ will be considered by the government. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure the following items. Description: MIL-Book 201 Laptop computers. The HET computer must be in accordance with the NAVSEA drawing 7498310_rev_A as follows: 1. PENTIUM PROCESSOR, NOT LESS THAN 1.6 GIGA-HERTZ CPU CLOCK FREQUENCY. 2. NOT LESS THAN 1 GIGA-BYTE RAM. 3. TWO HIGH SPEED USB 2.0 PORTS. 4. BUILT-IN MONITOR/DISPLAY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: (A) CAPABLE OF RESOLUTION OF 1024 X 768 WITH 4:3 ASPECT RATIO AND NO LESS THAN 24 BIT COLOR DEPTH. (B) LCD SIZE SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 13 INCHES MEASURED DIAGONALLY. LCD SIZE IS DEFINED AS ONLY THE PORTION OF THE LCD WHICH IS CAPABLE OF DISPLAYING DATA. 5. HARD DIST DRIVE (HDD) IS REMOVABLE (REMOVAL AND/OR REPLACEMENT OF THE HDD WILL REQUIRE NO SPECIAL TOOLS IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH) AND NOT LESS THAN 80 GIGA-BYTES STORAGE CAPACITY. 6. NOT LESS THAN ONE INTERNAL DVD/CD-RW DRIVE WITH DVD PLAYER SOFTWARE. 7. ONE BUILT-IN POINTING DEVICE WITH TWO ACTIVATION KEYS OR ONE TOUCH PAD WITH TWO ACTIVATION KEYS. POINTING DEVICE CANNOT USE SERIAL PORT. 8. NOT LESS THAN AN 80 KEY FULL SIZE KEYBOARD (INCLUDING 10 FUNCTION KEYS). 9. ONE BUILT-IN PORT FOR AN EXTERNAL VGA MONITOR (DB-15 CONNECTOR). 10. 115-220 VAC 50-60HZ POWER SUPPLY WITH GROUNDED POWER CORD. 11. BATTERY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: (A) THE BATTERY PACK MUST BE INTERNAL TO THE LAPTOP COMPUTER (B) THE LAPTOP SHALL BE CAPABLE OF OPERATION USING THE INCLUDED AC ADAPTER WHEN THE BATTERY IS REMOVED. 12. DIMENSIONS, WITH BATTER AND HARD DRIVE, EXCLUDING ALL OTHER ACCESSORIES, NOT TO EXCEED 16.0 X 12.0 X 3.0 INCHES, AND THE TOTAL VOLUME SHALL BE LESS THAN 250 CUBIC INCHES. 13. ONE EXTERNAL USB TO SERIAL ADAPTER WITH A MINIMUM TRANSFER RATE OF 19.2 KB. 14. ONLY THE OPERATING SYSTEM LISTED HEREON IS ACCEPTED: MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL EDITION SERVICE PACK 2 (SP2), OPERATING SYSTEM SHALL BE PROVIDED ON CD-ROM. 15. NO WIRELESS CAPABILITY. 16.
