- The U.S. Army Health Care Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to TriWest Healthcare Alliance Corporation, 16010 North 28th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85053-4067. The requirement is for Patient Appointment Services for for the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital (GLWACH), Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Currently approximately 270,000 appointing transactions are performed per year at this MTF. The Contractor shall provide centralized appointing service from building 470, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The appointing services shall be provided from 0700 1630, Monday Friday, except for Federal Holidays. The Contractor, in addition to making appointments via the traditional telephone or walk-in service, shall have the capability to make and cancel appointments via e-mail, or fax. Appointments may also be communicated via automated means (CHCS I or CHCSII, referral and authorization transaction set, and other Government appointment information systems). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561110. The CHCC intends to award a 6-month bridge contract to provide the Patient Apponinting Services no later than September 28, 2010. The anticipated period of performance is October 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011. This is a sole source award. The CHCC intends to solicit and negotiate only with Triwest Healthcare Alliance under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any quotes, proposals, or capability statements received by close of business on Monday, September 27, 2010, will be considered by the contracting officer.
