- The U.S. Army Health Care Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Health Net Federal Services, Inc., 2025 Aerojet Road, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742-6418. The requirement is for Patient Appointment Services for for the Puget Sound Multi-Service Market (MSM), Puget Sound, WA. The Puget Sound MSM, consists of the following Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs): Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) (Fort Lewis, Washington); Naval Hospital Oak Harbor (NHOH) (Oak Harbor, Washington); 62d Medical Group (McChord Air Force Base, Washington); Naval Hospital Bremerton (NHB) (Bremerton, Washington) and its branch area clinics: Naval Station Everett Clinic; Bangor Clinic; and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Clinic. Currently approximately 853,000 appointing transactions are performed per year for these four MTFs and branch area clinics. Appointing will be accomplished from a contractor owned/leased and operated regional center located within the Puget Sound area. The Contractor shall be required to make 100% of primary care appointments and specialty appointments available, reschedule and/or cancel appointments, and correct appointment booking errors. Appointments shall be made via the MTF provided appointing criteria and business rules. The Contractor shall provide services, Monday through Friday from 0700 through 1800 hours (except most federal holidays). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561110. The CHCC intends to award a 6-month bridge contract to provide the Patient Apponinting Services no later than September 28, 2010. The anticipated period of performance is October 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011. This is a sole source award. The CHCC intends to solicit and negotiate only with Health Net Federal Services under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any quotes, proposals, or capability statements received by close of business on Monday, September 27, 2010, will be considered by the contracting officer.
