Description
Please note that this is NOT a request for SF330's or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN, is conducting a market survey for qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB), 8a or HubZone small businesses capable of providing the required services outlined below for the VA Medical Center located in Danville, Illinois. Applicable NAICS code is 541310 size standard $4.5 million. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than September 29, 2010. No telephone inquires will be accepted. Prospective SDVOSB firms are reminded that in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 852.219-10, at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance of the contract shall be spent for employees of the SDVOSB concern or employees of other eligible service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Scope of Work: The Architect/Engineer (A/E) firm shall prepare complete construction drawings and specifications for Project 550-315, "Construct Four (4) Small House Model Homes". The project will include design work for the preparation of complete schematics, design development, construction drawings and contract documents using VA Master Specifications to complete the following: This project will provide for the design for construction of four (4) "Small House Model" following the Green House model homes to house 10 veterans each. This project will allow for and include the following items: "Complies with VA, ADA, and JCAHO requirements. "A total new gross square footage of approximately 30,000 sf. "40 private patient bedrooms including private bathrooms. "Assures compliance with patient privacy. "Provide care area designed specifically to meet the needs of patients. "Designs floor plans that are conducive to patient and staff safety. "Creates neighborhoods with home-like environment. "Implement new technologies in HVAC systems to improve patient comfort and facilitate energy usage reductions. "All necessary mechanical spaces and telephone closets. "All required site work and site utilities. A/E firm shall also be required to provide Construction Period Services to include site visits. The A/E shall be responsible for answering RFIs and reviewing and approving all material submittals. Upon completion of the construction services the AE shall be given one (1) copy of the contractor's working drawing from which the A/E will produce a working set of as-built drawings. No additional information regarding this project is available at this time. Additional information regarding this project will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (http://www.fbo.gov) as it becomes available. Firms are required to periodically check FBO for updates without further contact by the Government. All responses to this notice shall indentify the social economic category (SDVOSB, 8a, or HubZone) of the respondent, name and address of company, name, email, and phone number of contact person, examples of similar projects in size and scope, DUNS number, and a statement that the firm has the staff and resources to comply with the SDVOSB 50% self performance requirement.
