- Solicitation SP470210Q0095 This is a synopsis for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12 for a total of five (5) Polyethylene Hopper (Truck Bed) for the Defense Supply Center, Columbus, OH 43213. Required delivery time is within 60 days of receipt of order. FOB/inspection shall be at destination, Columbus Ohio and only quotes that include all shipping and handling to destination can be evaluated for award. Issue date is September 23 and quotes are due no later than 4: oo PM local time on 27 September 2010. Description : Purchase of Support Equipment - Polyethylene Hopper (Truck Bed) DLA Installation Support at Columbus The purpose of this statement of work is to define the specifications for the purchase of truck bed hopper units for use during hazardous weather actions in the DLA Installation Support Equipment Maintenance branch at DSCC. Request the features of the equipment being purchased exceed or, are equal to the specifications being provided. The equipment manufacturers warranty period shall provide a minimum warranty of: •- Two years parts and labor warranty for all equipment components. Required specifications as follows: •- Dimensions - 780 lbs. empty; 105.5 inches overall length; 39 inches overall height; 48 inches overall width; 84 inches floor length; 44 inches floor width; 96 inches hopper/tank length; 48 inches hopper/tank width. •- Operational requirements - 2.0 cubic yard capacity; Up to 40 feet spreading width. •- Electrical requirements - Digital, self-diagnosing dual variable speed controllers with auto reverse; completely loomed automotive style, non-combustible with molded plugs with spare circuit. •- Construction - Powder coated steel frame; one-piece polyethylene with integral vertical rib construction hopper/tank; dual, 12-volt DC sealed direct-drive motors in weather resistant enclosures; compact, independent weather-resistant motor transmission with quick connect modular spinner drive assembly; 12 inch heavy-duty urethane spinner with integral hub assembly; heavy-duty solid steel constructed auger drive assembly with maximum-torque motor transmission drive; 5 inch heavy-duty variable pitch steel auger with positive locking mount with bolt-down kit and ratchet-strap assist for truck bed mounting. •- Standard equipment - Hinged heavy-duty 5/16 inch steel rod construction with grid pattern hopper top screen; fitted hopper tarp; standard heavy-duty 12-volt DC material vibrator unit; inverted "V" design to maximize material flow; brake and 12-volt DC work/spreader light.
