- The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), Federal Protective Service (FPS) has a requirement to acquire Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at various locations in Tacoma, Washington. The armed security guard will protect federal personnel and property at the federally owned and leased buildings. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, management, supervision, training, licenses, and permits to provide the services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). The Period of Performance is for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods; however, the base period may be less than one year. The contract will be issued as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract as defined in FAR 16.504. Task orders will be issued on a labor hour basis. The source selection process to be utilized for this acquisition is best value/trade-off. The submission requirements and evaluation criteria will be defined in the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561612 with size standard is $18.5 million. The Contractor is required to register with Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov. No contract award shall be made to any contractor that is not registered or in the process of registering with the DOD Central Contractor Registration.
