- Under the authority of FAR 6, subpart 6.302-3, the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center Augusta, GA (VISN 7), contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Washington Psychological Center and Dr. David Jobes, 5225 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Suite 513, Washington, DC 20015. Dr. Jobes is a scientist in suicidology, author of extensive publications in suicidology, leader in advanced training suicide and assessment and is involved in multiple training, clinical and research collaborations with the VA. He will direct the content and process components of the e-learning, be the lead in the DVD, voice over and pod cast productions. He will provide training sessions at five VA Medical Centers in the Southeast as well as provide an 18 hour coaching sessions. The Performance Period will be September 28, 2010 through September 27, 2011 with one option year for renewal. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541720 with a standard size $7.0 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 2 days after publication of this synopsis. Interest parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements to the Contracting Officer or by fax at 478-274-5609. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
