- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W9114F-10-T-0139. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quotation, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. This is an unrestricted acquisition. Units can be operated either with the heating elements turning on and off according to the changes in the infant's skin temperature (automated mode) or by setting the heater at a constant power level for a set period of time (manual mode). These units are available in several different configurations, including freestanding and mounted on an integral bassinet to facilitate continuous thermal support for newborns and critically ill infants; they are also used for infants undergoing long treatment in a cool environment.
