- RFQ N00104-11-Q-Q149 This acquisition is being issued in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.1. This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP), Mechanicsburg, PA has a requirement to acquire Juniper hardware maintenance renewals. The requirement and ship to locations are identified in Attachment A to this notice. Delivery is required FOB Destination. Solicitation N00104-11-Q-Q149 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government intends to award a competitive contract to an authorized Juniper small business reseller for maintenance of their proprietary hardware products. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334119 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible contractor whose quote conforming to the solicitation provides the most advantageous price to the Government. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars 2005-43 effective 02 Aug 2010 & Class Deviation 2005-O0009. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Alt 1 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items and 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items shall be provided with the quotation. The Shipyards are currently using the Juniper hardware. Juniper is the publisher of this proprietary equipment and is the only vendor capable of maintaining it. Hardware maintenance is the right to software upgrades and replacement units if necessary. Juniper and its licensed resellers are the only firms that have the source code and therefore the only firms to offer hardware maintenance.
