- Description
- The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Uganda, is seeking proposals from engineering firms domiciled and incorporated in Uganda for the execution of selected water infrastructure works in Kitgum and Pader. The activity aims to provide the water infrastructure needs that have been identified by the NUWATER project. NUWATER the capacity of Private Operators and maintenance of water systems in Pader and Kitgum, and also establishing structures within the local councils that will see sustainable management of water systems in the project area.. The objective of this project is to assist the local authorities with the re-establishment of water supply services through the provision of the required infrastructure. The project is to be designed in such a way that it supports the NUWATER activity whose focus is building capacity of the private operators and the local authorities. USAID/Uganda anticipates issuing the Request for Proposal (RFP) o/a October 4, 2010.
