- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-08-G-0013 with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Portsmouth, RI. The order is to procure Specialized Test Equipment (STE) and 'Golden Units' necessary to perform depot level repairs to identified ALFS Components inclusive of Transducer Assembly Test Bench, Reeling Machine Control System Test Bench, Reeling Machine Interface Unit, Golden Reeling Machine and Reel & Cable Drum Winch. This effort is targeted to augment OEM repair capacity, reduce repair turnaround time and improve fleet support. The vendor will build and deliver test equipment and Golden Units to the commercial repair site designated in the resulting contract. As the sole manufacturer and developer of the ALFS system, IDS is the only known source with the technical data, knowledge and technical experience necessary to perform this effort within the time frame required to meet the Governments needs.
