- DESCRIPTION: Notice of contract action. This is not a solicitation of offers. Under Statutory Authority 41 USC 253 (c)(1) and 38 USC 1720, the NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to negotiate with SIEMENS WATER TECHNOLGIES CORP., on a sole source basis pursuant to VAAR 873 & 38 USC 8153 and FAR 6.302-1 for the Hemodialysis water treatment system testing. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 333319. This action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the sources listed above under FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Siemens Water Technologies Corp will provide both preventative and corrective maintenance on the Hemodialysis water treatment room and the portable D.I. tanks used in the process of Hemodialysis at the following locations, room A533-1, A526-2, SICU, CTICU and MICU. The Hemodialysis water treatment system is a US Filter Corp. The vendor will supply the Hemodialysis department with all monthly water cultures and Endotoxin kits along with the monthly results. The vendor shall also supply the semi-annual water analysis kits and the results. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than October 1, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. EST.
