Sobek Space Planning for People, P.C. 2817 2nd Ave. North, Ste 202 Billings, MT 59101 Dear Mr. Sobek: Subject: Solicitation VA259-09-RP-0442, A/E Services for Correct FCA Deficiencies - Miles City, VA MHCS Medical Center, Fort Harrison, MT. The purpose of this letter is to thank you for meeting with us to discuss the above referenced project and solicitation. We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as the most highly rated firm for which negotiations will be conducted. Enclosed is the proposed Architect Engineer contract, Special Provisions and Scope of Work to the above referenced project and solicitation. In addition to the proposed contract, we have enclosed our Fee Proposal, VAF 10-6298, to be used when submitting your proposal. You are reminded that, by statue and in accordance with the Brooks Act, a six (6%) percent fee limitation applies to design period services and includes actual preparation of designs, plans, drawings and specifications. Any services that are not an integral part of the production of designs, plans, drawings and specifications may be excluded from the 6% fee limitation. Excluded services include soil borings, topographic and boundary surveys, consultant's services, production of design models and travel/per diem allowances. The enclosed VAF 10-6298 form shall include all costs from preliminary work to construction period services, to include discipline, the number and cost per hour, travel/per diem costs, consultant's fees, reproduction fees and overhead/profit. Your proposal should be received no later than Monday, June 21, 2010. Your prompt attention to our request is appreciated.
