- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to award a sole source purchase order to the current provider, Cellco Partnership, for cell phones under the America?s Choice Business Share 450 Serice Plan. It has been determined that this acquisition be awarded sole source based on the fact that vital service would be disrupted during any conversion if a new vendor were chosen and recent testing has determined that only Verizon Wireless service is available in areas where the service is needed. If a new vendor were to be chosen additional costs would be incurred due to EPA employees having to convert and reconfigure new equipment as well other EPA employees being required to travel back to the office to communicate with others instead of doing it directly from the field. EPA is requesting that existing services should be continued. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is (517210). The period of performance for this award shall not exceed twelve (12) months. EPA has only one known source for this procurement that is in the Government?s best interest. If there are other potential sources, submit your quote capabilities as stated below. This requirement is for Verizon Wireless phone service under the America's Choice Business Share 450 Service Plan, a total of fifteen (15) phones, for a term of one year. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm or individual that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA requirements described herein may submit a response; which, if received within five (5) calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be submitted via e-mail, no phone calls will be accepted. A determination not to compete the described purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.
