Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Orion Network Solutions, Inc. 111 Skimino Landing Drive Williamsburg, VA 23188-2250 for support for implementation and dissemination of Flood Inundation Map Library for White River at Nora, Indiana Stream gage and Flood Forecast Point- Developed by the U.S. Geological Survey- to be posted onto National Weather Service (NWS), and National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Advanced Hydrologic Predictive Flood Forecasting(AHPS) Web Service. To be delivered to NWS AHPS (webfarms) via connection to NWS Wide Area network. USGS estimates approximately ten (10) postings between10/1/2010 thru 9/30/11. Orion Network Solutions, Inc. Is the only know source for this requirement because it is the proprietor of the software and processes used to post required data to the NOAA and NWS websites. This data is used for public viewing of Information concerning flooding and other weather -related phenomena. A sole source requirement to Orion Network Solutions, Inc. will provide a continuity of data format and security to an existing infrastructure. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1 (b) (1). FAX responses to 703.648.7367 or email to hbrick@usgs.gov. The NAICS code is 518210 The anticipated award date of the contract is 9/21/2010. Vendors must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
