- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has awarded a firm fixed price contract to MPS Engineers of West Des Moines, Iowa, under contract AG-3K15-C-10-0040 to replace the animal waste lines at NCAH, Ames, Iowa, in the amount of $1,192,576. The contract was awarded on a sole-source basis as authorized by statute in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.8-5-1(a) (2), Small Business 8(a) Program. The selection of MPS Engineers was based on market research, successful past performance, relative experience on projects of similar size and scope, and proximity to the work site.
