- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis, NAICS code 423430, identified as FDA RFQ1080146, is to notify contractors that the government intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 for the following statement of work, under the simplified acquisition procedures. This requirement is a Small Business set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for the release of any amendments to this solicitation. Hard copies will only be provided to individuals eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Rehabilitation Act upon request. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions if the Contracting Officer determines that the initial offer(s) is/are providing the Best Value and discussions are not necessary. STATEMENT OF WORK The FDA requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001, Description: Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro Hand Held Terminal Configuration 7527C-G2, 1D Laser Pod Internal Scanner, WIN MOB 6.X Classic, RoHS Compliant, Wireless and Bluetooth DISABLED Quantity: 20 EA LI 002, Description: Psion Teklogix Docking Station Desktop for WAP Quantity: 20 EA LI 003, Description: Psion Teklogix Battery Pack assembly 3300mAh High Capacity for WAP Quantity: 20 EA Items will be shipped to: 1350 Piccard Drive, 2nd Floor Rockville, MD 20850 Shipping must be free on board (FOB) destination CONUS (Continental U.S.), which means that the seller must deliver the goods on its conveyance at the destination specified by the buyer, and the seller is responsible for the cost of shipping and risk of loss prior to actual delivery at the specified destination. Period of Performance This award will be firm-fixed price with delivery 45 days after award. An award will be made to the offeror whose quote meets or exceeds the Government's requirements as described here in. With all else being equal, then award will be issued based on lowest price. Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your DUN and Bradstreet number and banking information. The anticipated award date is September 17, 2010. The following FAR clauses apply to this combined synopsis/solicitation. 52.212-1 Instructions to Offers-Commercial Items, 52.212-3 Offer Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial items, 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services (Nov 1999).
