Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park NC, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Bio-Tek Instruments 100 Tigan St Highland Park, Winooski, VT 05404, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This request is for Synergy 2 Multi-Detection Microplate Reader as follows: 1)SLFA- SYN2 LUM FL ABS/ Qty 1 each. 2) GEN5- GEN5 SFTWR ASBY V1.10.8/ Qty 1 each. 3) SVCIQT18 - INSTL QUAL TNG SYNERGY 2/ / Qty 1 each. 4) SVCONFWU2 - Field Warranty Upgrade2/ Qty 1 each. 5) TAKE3 - Multi-Volume Plate/ Qty 1 each. Request Bio-Tek Synergy Multiplate Reader as we require a mciro-plate reader that can perform 6-,12-, 24-, 48-, 96- and 384-well assays of absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence and is compatible with reading DNA/RNA in 2 ul samples. Absorbance must be 0-4 OD at 200-999 nm with 1 nm increments. Fluorescence must be 0 – 99,999 RFU, with sensitivity for 1 pM fluorescein. Luminescence must be 0 – 5,800,000 RFU, with sensitivity for 1 pM fluorescein. Incubation chamber must include shaking and temperature control from 4 to 65 degrees C. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities / specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address provided. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 5 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the order will be issued to Bio-Tek Instruments. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500. This procurement is to be processedusing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
