- This is a sole source combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining future requirements. The government is seeking information for market research purposes and may not issue solicitation documents associated with this announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center anticipates issuing a sole source combined synopsis for this requirement on or about 16 September 2010, with a closing date for proposals on or about 20 September 2010. The information will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. Prospective Offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation or any amendments. Applicable NAICS code is 339112. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability as it relates to the requirements by submitting literature and documentation, detailing their experience in providing these products. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing and received no later than 20 September 2010. No telephone inquires will be accepted.
