- On behalf of the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (OACSIM) Housing Division (ISH) and in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(b)(2), the National Capitol Region Contracting Center (NCRCC) intends to extend an existing contract as a logical follow-on to an original GSA contract under the authority of FAR 52.217-8 and 8.405-6(b)(2) limited source justification and approval, to National Association of Homebuilders Research Center (NAHBRC), to provide assistance to the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (ACSIM) in the areas of Army owned/privatized housing, green building, sustainability, training materials, new technologies, and home ownership, as well as subject matter expertise on issues affecting the Army including Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC). NAHBRC is currently supporting this effort. This action will result in an extension of the Time and Materials contract with a period of performance of six (6) months from 26 September 2010 to 25 March 2011. This notice of intent to exercise the Governments right to extend the contract IAW FAR 5.217-8 and to award a sole source contract. This is not a request for competitive proposals. There is NO solicitation document. NO RFP will be available for competitive proposals. Phone calls will not be accepted.
