- Sole Source - Combined Synopsis/Solicitation - FA9300-10-R-5060 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This is a sole source buy to Respirex N.A., Inc., however, the Government will consider all responses received within 10 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-43 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20100908. NAICS is 339113 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Solicitation is for a commercial purchase of (4) "Gas-Tight" chemical protective suits with a breathable air supply independent of the ambient atmosphere, e.g. a self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus, worn inside the chemical protective suit. AFFTC/PKT, Edwards Air Force Base, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing the following item: (4) "Gas-Tight" Chemical Protective Suits. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Qty. Two (2) Part No.: GTA132/44 - Respirex Gas Tight Air-Supplied (GTA) Suit, Rigid Visor, Outer Replaceable Visor, Gas Tight Zipper with over flap secured with fabric covered stainless steel snaps, detachable boot system & BATA HAZMAX boots with elastic outer leg, thread locking cuffs, butyl gloves, low flow warning whistle, 30 BAR green air hose with stainless steel ferrules and NPT Hanson quick disconnect plug, install communications pass thru (customer to provide pass thru: a. White/Grey Bromobutyl Fabric No.: A00044 b. 1 Each X-Large w/Size 12 (US) Boots and Size 9 Gloves c. 1 Each Medium w/Size 8 (US) Boots and Size 9 Gloves 2. Qty. Two (2) Part No.: GTA 131/44 Respirex Gas Tight Air-Supplied (GTA) Suit, Rigid Visor, Outer Replaceable Visor, Gas Tight Zipper with over flap secured with fabric covered stainless steel snaps, detachable boot system & BATA HAZMAX boots with elastic outer leg, thread locking cuffs, butyl gloves, low flow warning whistle, 30 BAR green air hose with stainless steel ferrules and NPT, Hanson quick disconnect plug, install communications pass thru (customer to provide pass thru), with vortex cooler affixed to the exterior of the suit: a. White/Grey Bromobutyl Fabric No.: A00044 b. 1 Each X-Large w/Size 12 (US) Boots and Size 9 Gloves c. 1 Each Medium w/Size 8 (US) Boots and Size 9 Gloves Delivery: 60 DARO Place of delivery, performance, and acceptance is FOB Destination, Edwards AFB, CA 93524.
