- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - This procurement action is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1 with the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement. The National Park Service, Yellowstone National Park, Contracting Office intends to award this sole source, firm-fixed price requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12 to JWC Environmental, Inc., 290 Paularino Avenue, Costa Mesa, California 92626 for one (1) Muffin Monster cutter cartridge for the Old Faithful Waste Water Treatment Plant in Yellowstone National Park. This cutter cartridge will replace the existing cutter cartridge in current Muffin Monster model 30005-0024. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. The determination by the Government not to compete this contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. A Sources Sought Announcement was publicized on FEDBIZOPS.GOV from August 20, 2010, through August 25, 2010, with no responses. However, interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government (reference: Q1576100033 and send to stacy_vallie@nps.gov or fax to (307)344-2079). Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative written responses are received by 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time on September 16, 2010, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A Sole Source Justification and Award announcement will be posted once the contract has been awarded. The NAICS code is 333319.
