- J&A The Afghanistan Engineer District-North (AED-N) intends to negotiate, by means other than full and open competition, a contract modification extending the term of Contract W917PM-08-D-0001 for six months, with options to prolong the contract extension up to a total of 14 months, from 12 December 2010 until February 2012, and increase the contract capacity by up to $76,000,000 from the original contract capacity of $90,000,00 to a cumulative total of $166,000,000 should the proposed options be exercised. Continuation of the essential security and transportation services provided under this contract are necessary for AED's operations, and the safety of USACE personnel in Afghanistan.
