- Sole Source. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center-Yuma, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract modification on a sole source basis with Skydive Arizona, Inc. located at 4900 N Taylor St., Eloy, AZ 85231-9759. Skydive Arizona currently provides the lease of a wind tunnel and designated aircraft time for skydiving. Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Skydive Arizona is the only source reasonably available. Currently, the USAYPG utilizes the lease of a wind tunnel located in Eloy, AZ, 200 miles from YPG. No other vendor is capable of providing the rental of a wind tunnel within this proximity without unduely delays. This modification will provide for additional designated aircraft time and lease of a wind tunnel. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOPALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firms technical capability to meet these requirements by 17 September 2010 8:00 AM MST. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item.
