Description
Extension and relocation of water lines and installation of frost proof water hydrants at various locations in the Public Use Area of the Harry S. Truman Dam and Reservoir Project. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, security and supervision necessary to extend water lines. The contractor shall extend the line using 1 inch PVC schedule 80 pipe and fittings. The line shall be installed at a minimum depth of 3 feet using industry standards in bedding and backfill. Frost proof hydrants shall be the four foot bury type with a four foot square area cribbed around the site using 6 inch by 6 inch treated wood. The area inside the cribbing shall be filled with creek gravel. The contractor shall install a stop and waste valve at each hydrant. The valve shall be installed outside the cribbed area. The contractor shall return the work site to the original grade, dress the area with top soil and seed the area with KY-31 and Rye blend, with straw mulch. Satisfactorily accomplish the work in accordance with this Scope of Work.
