- The Social Security Administration (SSA ) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Xenos Group, Inc., 95 Mural Street, Suite 201, Richmond Hill, ON, Canada L4B 3G2. SSA needs to renew maintenance on Xenos Software - Metacode Parser, AFP Parser PDF Generator. SSA uses this software to convert the 9700 print stream to a portable document file (PDF) for viewing in Adobe Reader via the paperless application. The software is proprietary and to the extent of the Government's knowledge, Xenos is the only company that sells Xenos software and maintenance. The anticipated contract line item is: CLIN 0001 Renewal of maintenance for Xenos Software - Metacode Parser, AFP Parser PDF Generator (Part Numbers EDAL-3000-0000 and EDAL-2000-0000) - being used with E-I Stream software on a Windows Platform - Quantity of 16. The period of performance is 12 months. Any other vendor that can provide maintenance for this Xenos software must present an electronic version of its commercial price list, or, if applicable, its GSA Schedule and/or NASA SEWP price information. The Government will neither pay for information received nor provide evaluation results to the sender. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not constitute a request for quotation. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, SSA will proceed with a sole source acquisition. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writing to Joanna.Lobl@ssa.gov by Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. EST. Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
