- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of a Chip Trailer, aka Open top box or refuse trailer, to be used for the purpose of hauling tree chips and debris from remote sites. This acquisition had been determined to be a commercial item, and is being prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43 of August 2, 2010. Quotations are being requested via this notice only. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation/Request for Quotations (RFQ) number is Q8400100121. The acquisition is reserved exclusively for small business concerns. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 336212 and the size standard is 500 employees or less. This acquisition is to furnish 1 each Open Top Chip Trailer, similar or equal to Innovative PT5382, meeting the following minimum requirements: - 42 ft length x 8 ft width x 13.4 ft height. King pin position 37 inches. Maximum length cannot exceed 45 feet- Minimum Capacity 98 cubic yards or 2,646 cubic feet- Sidewalls to be minimum of.063 aluminum- Axles: Tandem 71 inch center, airbrakes, Minimum 22,500 lbs capacity each.- wheels: (8) 10 hole 24.5 x 11.00 hub piloted steel or Aluminum - Tires: (8) 11.00 x 24.5 radials- Suspension: leaf spring or air - Landing gear: 2 speed hand crank- Floor or decking minimum.063 aluminum- End Gate: Aluminum with top hinge, with galvanized expanded metal- Wiring/lights: 12 volt, must meet legal DOT - Tarp: mesh drag tarp or similar- Cross sills: Steel cross members at 21 inches on center.- Unit must be new and not used or reconditioned Interested parties shall submit a quotation meeting or exceeding the requirements furnished above. Quotations should include descriptive literature for product being offered and include a priced list of options available, if applicable. Pricing shall include the cost to direct deliver to Lassen Volcanic National Park in Mineral, CA. Delivery shall be made within 180 days or sooner after receipt of an order. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply: 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration, 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (to be completed and provided with quotation); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (applicable are: (5)(i)-52.219-6; (16)-52.222-26; (17)-52.222-35; (18)-52.222-36; (19)-52.222-37; (21)-52.225-1; and (29)-52.232-33.
