- Description
- The contractor shall furnish 7 each Outdoor Photovoltaic Audio Posts for Lassen Volcanic National Park's wayside exhibits along their Devastation Trail at Lassen Peak. Audio posts shall be steel with anodized aluminum frame with a direct embed mount type. Each unit shall be a self-standing 5"x 5" Type C single bury post made for in-ground mounting extending a minimum of 30" below grade. The unit shall be 28" to 32" from ground level to the panel backer plate. The unit shall have a photovoltaic powered battery. The photovoltaic panel shall be embedded in fiberglass. The battery shall be continuously recharged by the photovoltaic panel and be internal. An extra battery shall be provided. The unit audio shall be a digital message repeater (No moving parts). The unit shall have a motion-activated sensor to start and restart the digital message repeater. The Park will provide the audio messages to the contractor to be digitized into the post repeater. Each audio post will have a different message and different length of play. The unit volume shall be adjusted to an audible range of 10'. The unit shall have a 1" x 1" x 1/8" anodized aluminum angle frame with tamper proof stainless steel screws or approved equivalent. Delivery shall be made FOB Destination for receipt by November 1, 2010. This acquisition is pursued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13 and is reserved exclusively for Small Business concerns.
