- US Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, RockyMountainRegion (Western), intends to negotiate with and award a contract under theauthority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), on a sole source basis to GE EnergyManagementServices, Melbourne, FL, for QAS licenses and associated third partysoftwarefor SCADA v12 upgrade. Applicable NAICS code is 511210, size standard is$25million. This notice is not a request for quotes; however, interestedpartiesmay provide evidence of their capability to accommodate this requirement by e-mailing the Contracting Officer at aanderson@wapa.gov no later than COBSeptember 15, 2010. Any information received will be considered solely forthepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Draft justification is attached.
