- Description
- The Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for water and sewer services at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Beaumont, Texas. This sources sought notice is for the purpose of conducting market research to determine local interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate a respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for water is 221310 and NAICS code for sewer is 221320. The business size standard for each service is $7.0 million. The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices with economic price adjustments resulting from a future solicitation. The contractor shall provide water services to accommodate an estimated water flow of 16,658,000 gallons per month. The contractor shall be required to accept, treat and provide sewer or waste water services to accommodate an estimated flow of 13,230,600 gallons per month flow. The contractor will be responsible for providing and coordinating all services to deliver the water and sewer services to the designated point. Any information relating to this procurement action will be distributed solely through General Service Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All contractors that believe they can meet this requirement shall submit responses in writing to the contracting officer no later than September 28, 2010 at 1:00 PM central standard time. All contractors shall mail their response in form of a hard copy to U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex, P.O. Box 26015, Beaumont, Texas 77705, Attn: Connie Brassfield, Contract Specialist. The point of contact can reached at (409) 727-8187, Ext. 3374. All contractors shall also submit capability statements and evidence of state or local authority to provide public utilities (i.e. water and sewer).
