- Description
- The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Command at Tinker Air Force Base, OK, has a requirement for a new Robotic Grit Blast System. The Robotic Grit Blast System will be used to prepare applicable aircraft engine parts for painting. This notice is being posted in anticipation of a combined synopsis/solicitation to be posted later this month. A complete Statement of Work (SOW), drawings and other information will be posted with the solicitation. A brief description is provided below: The system should at least be comprised of a 6 axis articulating arm robot, an indexing and rotating turntable (7th Axis) and an integrated hand blast station. All robot axis joints and continuous turntable shall be controlled by the Fanuc central controller. The cabinet size shall be large enough to process parts up to 48" in diameter x 60" tall. Part may require ID and/or OD blasting. Robot should be mounted where it can blast complex OD geometry and still perform ID blasting. The robot shall reach small short parts and the largest part at all nozzle angles necessary to perform coverage on parts. In addition, the indexing turntable is to be mounted on a horizontal slide which provides precise positioning motion controlled by the Robot Controller. This notice is for information only.
