Description
MAINTENANCE SERVICE LINE ITEMS The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Office of Job Corps, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with SYBASE, Inc. The period of performance is October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. This action will procure 12-month base year maintenance for Sybase Relational Database Management System (ASE), Sybase IQ Data Warehouse, Sybase Application Server (EA Server), and Sybase Development tools. Sybase ASE and Sybase components make up the core database, data warehouse and middleware applications for SPAMIS/CDSS suite of applications. Sybase products are proprietary software. Sybase is the manufacturer and holds the rights and the patents. Sybase provides the technical expertise required to support this software including all of the software updates. This notice of intent is not announcement of the availability of a Request for Proposals, nor is there an RFP available. Any interested party who believe they can provide the required service may respond by submitting a capability statement via electronic mail to the attention of Tyrone Wells at wells.tyrone@dol.gov. The capability statement must include price information and describe in detail the party's qualifications and experience in providing the aforementioned required service. A determination not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the desecration of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining the direction to remove or overcome any barriers to competition.
